Solaire Batten Cap

A Solaire™ batten cap is designed to cap the ends of Alspec Solaire™ battens to give them a finished look while protecting the extrusion from moisture, dust and debris. It's commonly used on fencing, screening and batten cladding projects where an exposed extrusion end would otherwise look unfinished or be prone to weathering.

Aluminium end caps are more durable than plastic or die-cast alternatives, resisting cracking, fading and wear over time, especially in harsh Australian conditions. Rather than being glued or welded, a Solaire™ batten cap is CNC-machined for a tight interference fit, so it stays secure and continues to look sharp long after plastic caps would have degraded or fallen out.

The Solaire™ batten cap is available in four sizes — 50x50, 100x50, 150x50 and 200x50 — all supplied as a 2-piece cap to suit Alspec Solaire™ battens. Each size is precision-machined to match the batten profile exactly, so there's no gap, movement or trimming required on installation.

Simply tap it into place with a rubber mallet. The bevelled edge helps guide the cap into the extrusion for a firm, permanent fit without any adhesive, screws or welding required. Installation typically takes seconds per cap, making it well-suited to both single installs and larger batten runs.

The Solaire™ batten cap is supplied in mill finish as standard, ready to be powder coated, anodised or finished with a timber-look sublimation to match the rest of your project. This means you can colour-match the cap to your battens or fencing before or after installation.

Once knocked into place, the interference fit holds a Solaire™ batten cap securely with no adhesive or fixings to break down over time. Machined from premium 6060 T5 aluminium, it can withstand ongoing exposure to sun, rain and general outdoor wear without cracking, warping or discolouring.
